Trans-MISSION - TX26 (4 September 2004)
Red and WhiteAfter what the weathermen (and women) are calling 'the wettest August on record' it was thrilling to learn that the September date for Trans-MISSION was forecast as one of the hottest days of the year so far. It's always a delight dressing up in full make-up and stuff when it's 27°C outside!

White and RedWhite and Red

Thankfully I had been shopping in the week and found this lovely red strappy top that, being sleeveless, is rather cool - just the ticket for the now totally tropical UK summer!

Red and WhiteRed and WhiteAnd so, on to Trans-MISSION itself. Here's me (no, really?!) on the left doing what I'm good at - propping up architectural items. In this shot I am ensuring that a metal and hardwood ballustrade is correctly positioned prior to the thronging masses bouncing into the building. It's important that these things are in the right place, I mean imagine the confusion if the bannister shown here was at a 90 degree angle, sprawled horizontally across the floor, maybe at a height of 10cm or so. People in heels would be tripping up everywhere trying to get over it. You don't see a lot of the back-stage stuff that goes on for Trans-MISSION but I hope this gives you some indication of the lengths we go to!

On the right you can see that my handbag is rather heavy and is weighing the left hand side of my body down. I often think that a lot of the things I carry in my handbag I do so needlessly, but you never know when a quantum singularity might just come in handy...
Red and WhiteAnd finally Vicky. And finally. My good friend Anastasia popped in to the club to see how everyone was. As it happens my red and white mood seemed to have taken hold and by using the aforementioned singularity as a catapult for my brain's alpha waves, I had managed to subconsciously plant the same colourscheme into Ana's head before she left home too (see, I told you it would come in useful).

People often say to me, "who did you say you were again?" and in my defence, all I will add is that these are mysterious times and cue up the Sash! (featuring Tina Cousins) tune of the same name and dance along.

As for Trans-MISSION well what can I add to that which I've singularly forgotten to say again this time? Let's see... A special hello to Miss Cyanne visiting us from Down Under and to her girlfriend Katya whose birthday it was!
