Trans-MISSION - TX36 (2 July 2005)

Less than a week (well, a couple of hours less anyway) since I last donned a skirt and went out DJing it was time for that monthly mayhem we know and love as 'Trans-MISSION'. Amazingly for the second month running, when the weather in London could be expected to be rather warm, it proved nice and mild with temperatures topping out at about 22°C (72°F in pounds, shilling and pence). Which means what exactly? Which means that it's not like going into a sauna with a woolly hat on and hoping against odds that your mascara doesn't run, that's what!
At the beginning of the night, when it's still quite quiet all about, my cohort Jasmine Clarke and me tend to try and find an interesting place for a few pictures. Often we don't get the chance but this month we did, and here's me in a 'back alley' (careful!) just around the corner from Trans-MISSION. Back inside, top door girl Sarah Clarke (no relation to the aforementioned Jasmine) and I took a pew on the bar for this candid little shot. Sarah, who is renowned for wearing a lot of black, had condescended to wear none this month - and quite successfully too!
The night had almost drawn to a close when my shoulder was tapped by a rubber clad vixen. "Do you remember me?" she asked. I immediately (after a short delay) identified her as none other than the infamous Bianca Black (transvestite porn star and super model) who I had first met many moons ago and had not seen since. Under what circumstances I met her, I will leave to your overactive imagination. What with it being The middle of summer; Live 8; London LGBT Pride; The Wimbledon Womens' Tennis Final; and Bacardi B-Live in Clapham Trans-MISSION was a little quieter than it had been the previous month but it was still a great event with the regular eclectic bunch of nomads who venture out to visit us, which this month included a magician and a brain surgeon - the mind boggles.
