Trans-MISSION - TX18 (3 January 2004)
 |
Things don't stay still long at Valentine Towers and of course the first Saturday of the month (and of 2004!) meant Trans-MISSION (or 'TX' as we like to abbreviate it). However, for the first time ever Jasmine (my cohort in TX) and me decided to stay in a nearby hotel so that we could fully enjoy the festive spirit instead of the lemonades we usually consume.
Now driving across London and checking in/out of hotels is no big deal to me as I've done such things many times before, but as the skirt I intended to wear at TX was, well let's just say 'short' and as the hotel was respectable, I donned more demure leggings to get to the hotel.
Becky was at the hotel too though as you can see, she didn't seem to mind as much about the shortness of her skirt! |
See, I told you the skirt I intended to wear was a little on the short side. Actually, an aside for awhile… I had worn this skirt to TX before and no-one really commented on it's length. This time however, with the addition of the more than visible (on purpose) stockings, everyone noticed… What a difference a flash of thigh can make!
One of the people I bumped into at Trans-MISSION was the ever lovely (and very tall) Lisa Budd. Lisa claims to be roughly the same height as me and although she was wearing some very high heels, mine weren't that short, but to look at the picture it's clear she towers over me. I wonder if she's measured herself accurately recently!
And so after the club closed it was back to the hotel for a few more drinks with those who were around. And around included the very lovely Katya and her girlfriend Miss Cyanne who were visiting all the way from Australia. |
Here are me and Miss Cyanne demonstrating the ancient Anglo-Aussie art of 'Drunken Leg Twister'. The idea of this game is to get drunk and then whirl your legs around in the most alarming fashion whilst having your photo taken. As you can see, Miss Cyanne was clearly the winner, her 'Sydney Slide-Kick' more than bettering my 'London Leg Lurch'. |
This attempt by Miss Cyanne to pull off the 'Wollomooloo Wing Whack' was a little unfair as she clearly had Jo and Becky to hold on to for support.
As you can clearly see, a great night was had by all. The only down-side is that I had a very sore throat but then again, the anaesthetic I was taking (gin) seemed to alleviate the pain quite well indeed. |
