Trans-MISSION - TX35 (4 June 2005)

Phew! What a busy time it always seems to be. There I am thinking, "… Hasn't it been a long time since the last Trans-MISSION …" when it pops up from behind the sofa and knocks you over like a lost sock (or vanishes like an old oak table in the great fire of Stepney - don't ask).

So without further messing and mucking about, let's jump right across to Trans-MISSION and see who was there shall we? And first off my good friend Karol Cross who, with her new curly hair-do looks remarkably like a sexy barmaid from some television programme that I don't watch before again anymore these days, or something. Karol comes from Leeds (the third best place in Yorkshire) and makes the long trek to London in an old Schermann Tank that has been converted by a team of expert tranny seamstresses into a double-decker passenger airliner. Amazing what can be done with spare tights, lego and some sticky-tape these days*.

And here are Kim Angel and Jo Nicholls who together with a couple of other leading lights, form the backbone of transvestite support group The UK Angels. They were at Trans-MISSION to promote 'Sparkle' the forthcoming national transgender celebration that takes place in Manchester on 25 June (no doubt there will be plenty of pictures of that event to follow here on Vicky's Vault of nonsenseness!) And finally, just to prove that I do actually do some work at Trans-MISSION and don't just go swanning around chatting to people, here is a picture of me at work on the door - it is this welcoming face that often greets party-goers as they enter the club! "…In about the same degree as you are helpful, you will be happy.". Karl Reiland Oh, yes. I promised to try and add a bit of culture to this site by including a random quotation with each set of pictures didn't I? So here's more words of wisdom from someone wordy and wiser than me…

* It's been a very busy month and I've run out of things that actually make any sense whatsoever.
