Reparty 50 (10 September 2005)
Black & WhiteYou have probably noticed that I haven't been adding new pictures to my site with quite as much gusto as I have in previous months. There are a couple of reasons for this I suppose:
  1. I'm not going out as often as I used to (this is due to having fallen hopelessly in love with a fabulous woman and wanting to spend as much time with her as possible); and

  2. Most of the times that I do get out, I am working (either at Trans-MISSION or elsewhere) and so me taking the pictures of other people instead of vice-versa.
It was a semi-refreshing change, therefore to be invited to DJ together with my good friend Jasmine Clarke, at 'Reparty 50', the celebration marking the 50th edition of the very highly acclaimed British transvestite magazine Repartee. Semi-refreshing in that I was only working for half of the night and therefore had the chance to take a few pictures in the other half when I wasn't on duty (so to speak).

All that being said, I still failed rather dismally to take many photos preferring, instead, to take the chance to have a good old chinny-wag with many of the friends I rarely get more than 2 minutes to talk to on most occasions. Below are a couple of the very few pictures I did manage to take (well, when I say 'I managed to take' it's obvious that I clearly didn't take the one on the right because (a) I'm in it, and (b) I always make sure I take head-to-toe photos and my feet have been chopped off!)

Reparty 50 was a story in itself! On exactly the same night, a large UK mobile company (who we shall refer to only as 'Vodamoan') decided to host it's annual staff party but 100 yards away from Copyright Nightclub where Reparty was being held. 6,000 people turned up to the Vodamoan party and to make sure they didn't have to walk too far, all the roads in the surrounding area were closed and there was no parking - including on the street on which Copyright is located. This meant that many of the 250 gurlz out to party with us had to park half a mile or more away and walk (through the rain) to get to the club. Not nice - especially in high heels!

That being said, everyone managed to get there in the end and with canapés being served by PVC clad tranny waitresses, glow sticks and glitter (and of course great music brought to you courtesy of you know who) the party was a tremendous success. Here's to the 100th party celebrations!!
