The Weigh Out Club?! (14 September 2002)

It seems like ages since I last visited the infamous WayOut 'Club Travestie' (well it has been over 3 months!) and with Sharon down for the weekend having never been there it seemed like the ideal opportunity to dust off some attitude and go and throw some shade with the eclectic mix of tranvestites, transsexuals and drag queens that hang out there, honey. Here I am on the left practising my hard-stares to make sure I could keep my own amongst all the beauties that haunt the WOC. Errm, not really good enough Vicky that's more of a sweet smile than one of Paddington Bear's finest glares. And on the right, Julia joins me for a spot of glare practise too.

Mandy, Sharon, me and Jasmine enjoy the subtle WayOut club ambience For once the journey across London was uneventful and after calling in at the Birdcage in Chiswick for a quick starter for 10 we arrived at the WayOut around 10.45pm. Who should we meet there but Mandy Peters who happens to be from the same part of the country as Sharon and when you put the two of them together, they can natter for Lancashire.

A last couple of pictures, one of me and one of Jasmine (can you tell who is who?) just to prove that even though we run our own club, we still get out to the other places in London and support other trans-friendly venues. I'd love to say that a great time was had by all but I think Sharon was both knackered from our jaunt to Reflex the previous night, and a tad underwhealmed by the WayOut - not her 'cup of tea' I guess…
