Well as you will know if you follow the events as they unfold in Vicky's Vault, I had been to Birmingham a couple of times on recon missions for Trans-MISSION ready for our first regional event of 2004, in the form of Trans-NATION Birmingham. And after several months build-up, the day finally arrived. I arrived in the city centre in glorious spring sunshine to find that the Holiday Inn had somehow decided that Saturday was, in reality, Tuesday and had gotten the hotel reservations I had made (for the whole Trans-MISSION team) messed up. Thankfully Becky was on hand with a radiator which she deftly extracted from her purse and bashed the receptionist over the head. Lo! and behold, rooms were miraculously found. And to prove it, here are a few pictures taken in those self same rooms! Makes a change to take some pictures somewhere other than propping up the walls of my flat in West London don't you think…? What you can't see is that we had to use Becky's radiator (a 'Lauschmann 909 minivalve' I think she said it was) to prop the camera in position. Talk about precarious! I'm not convinced that it was made for that purpose, or indeed that digital cameras were in general usage when it was designed. |
  The thing is, as you can see, Becky is so used to propping things up whilst having her picture taken that she had to make sure that the walls of the hotel room were sound before we were allowed to leave the building, safe in the knowledge that it would still be there when we got back from the club.And so on to Club DV8 itself. Over 120 girls of all flavours (but mostly transvestite!) turned up to enjoy Trans-NATION and chatting to a few of them it seems that they enjoyed the place just as much as I had done on my previous visits. Of course cheap drinks helped a lot - don't they always?! |

| Final couple of pictures for you. Firstly on the left is Kate (whose story I didn't quite get but was apparently the Aunt of one of the t*girls at the club and who would win my award, if I had one to give, for highest heels of the night, putting all the trannies to shame), then me (as if you hadn't guessed already) and then Sophie who you may remember from my previous adventures in Brum. And the final picture is of Claire of local West Midland tranny support group Outskirts who had conceived the Trans-NATION event in Birmingham, and, um, who's that other girl with her. Oh, yes, um, me again…! |
