Rob's Birthday Rumpus (18 January 2003)

		Lilac eh? Yes. Now I'm sure there are lots of stigmas attached to wearing various colours. Wearing pink for example, is meant to be a sign of insecurity and weakness. Lilac? Dunno. Probably just means I'm a bit of a transvestite tart which let's face it, we already knew.
The birthday boy himself together with his fiancee Sarah (and isn't that Alison lurking in the background?) After planning all sorts of weird and wonderful places to visit to celebrate Rob's birthday, including Manchester, Bristol and Oxford, we ended up going firstly to the Birdcage in Chiswick, West London. It's high time I put a review of the place in my reviews section - next job on the 'to do' list. And after that on to my second favourite club (after Trans-MISSION of course), Reflex. Joining us for the celebrations were (in alphabetical order) Anastasia, Adelle, Alison, Jasmine, EJ, Sandra and Maria. Here's Adelle and me posing on the bar at the Birdcage. As always, we all had a great time at Reflex, dancing and drinking in copious amounts. A new boy-band 'D-tached' (or some such name) were performing and were pretty good if truth be told. They were definitely Irish (no mistaking that accent) and with there being 5 of them, reminiscent of Westlife. Usual combination - one bald and ugly, one cute (and gay?) etc etc. Wonder if they will make it into the charts. Remember where you heard about them first pop-pickers… I leave you with a couple of typically tranny pictures taken at Reflex which I think, clearly demonstrate what a good time we were having!
