| I had got a few days leave left over from the previous year that needed taking before the end of March, and so did Angela, a new friend of mine. So what better way to celebrate the start of spring (which was giving London temperatures of almost 20C - unheard of in March usually) than spend 3 days trannying it up? This set of pictures were taken during the day, when heading out across London to do a bit of shopping and stuff. Those taken in the evening when going clubbing, including my first outing in PVC are on the next pages. |

| These first two pictures were taken just before I head out to my local railway station to get the train into London to meet Angela. The ultra-observant amongst you might spot my Sydney 'Bridgeclimb' t*shirt, worn in rememberance of a year ago when I scaled the dizzy heights of the Sydney Harbour Bridge! The third was taken the next day. | ||

On the far left is the lovely Angela. After taking these pictures we caught the tube from central London to Hammersmith to visit a 'fetish' shop there (always useful to have a supply of spare fishnet bodystockings!) |
| The trip was largely uneventful except for being followed around Hammersmith tube station by a group of nosey schoolgirls who had clearly never seen two transvestites buying stuff before. It was tempting to turn the tables and start following them to see how they liked it, but I suspect we would have gotten into trouble for that - what a perverse world we live in. Having now been out on my own, across London on the train, tube and bus, I'm a lot less nervous of dressing up all girly and being a transvestite-around-town. Being as tall as I am, I fear that I am easy to spot but even having sat in a coffee shop at Euston station, awaiting the arrival of Andrea's train, I was, as far as I can make out, ignored, which is the way it should be! Whether you feel able to do the same is a personal decision. It took me a lot of courage to actually do it (I've been around before, but not alone) and I'm not sure I'd be in a rush to do it again, but I'm not afraid to try! |
