A recipe for disaster? No, from as far as I could tell, everyone had a great time. A few selected photos of the assembled throng are shown for your entertainment below… |

Those lovely folk at the Rabar had decorated the board outside the front of the pub in my honour. That's so nice of them but even more, the inside was decked out in balloons and 'Happy Birthday' posters and rumour has it that white wine spritzers were free all night (though I stuck resolutely to Gin and Tonic, my favoured tipple). Here's Jasmine together with the lovely and bubbly Sarah, another Trans-MISSION superstar, and who's that lurking in the background looking like a demonic vampire tart (you know the sort - sucks anything), well could it be Angela again. My long legged friend Andrea also turned up in what had to win the award for the shortest skirt of the night! Now there are some things that it's not advisable to do in a short skirt, and play a game of pool is one of them as all that bending over the table is, well let's just say that demure is not a word that applies in that particular situation! But Andrea isn't the kind of person to let that stop her… |

It is at this point that, like at all good parties, my memory gets a little hazy. The music finished at the Rabar a little after 11pm and after lots of farewell kisses the remaining party posse had a bit of a girlie gathering to decide what to do next. The chosen solution: "Let's all go back to Vicky's place and get sloshed". And like all good parties, the story ends with a healthy dose of intrigue, a couple of people ending up shagging on a bed, far too much being drunk, and the host vowing never to do it again (until next week at least). To add a touch of suspense to the situation, I'll leave you guessing who ended up shagging who on the who's bed but it was two of the people in the photograph below (and neither of them was me)…! |

| And one last thing: A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to my birthday party for making it such a fun night, for all the lovely cards and for the fantastic presents, and for all the kindness people have expressed following, umm, events. | ||
