Pink Punters [again!] (30 November 2002)
And so it was, without a map or a lift from the inimitable Alison Graham (who was convelescing) this time, that I set forth on the intrepid pseudo-adventure that is 'Pink Punters'. On this occasion I was fully armed (and dangerous?) with the knowledge that a lively night out was for all was to be had. Here's a couple of shots of me before the 'off' so to speak, though as usual, everything pretty much remained 'on' and nothing to speak of came 'off', if that makes sense (doesn't to me so I don't see why it should to you!) |
Me, Sarah and Jasmine: 'Chez Clarke'! First stop was Jasmine's place which was kind of on the way from my place to Pink Punters (or at least it would have been if Jasmine had have taken us on the right route…) to collect, guess who? Yes, Jasmine. Oh, and Sarah whose birthday it was, and thus whose excuse we used for the purposes of justifying yet another drunken night out!
Pink Punters was significantly more busy this time than the last time I visited a couple of weeks ago and what with flitting between the three floors: 'Club Voyager' in the basement where trance is the order of the day; the main dancefloor on the ground-floor where cheese (of the musical kind) was order of the day; and the yet to be opened restaurant on the top floor where the order of the day will be shown on the blackboard, we all but exhausted ourselves. That and the usual, rather crap, tranny dancing. |
I'll leave you with yet another 'transvestite picture' shot (this time of Jasmine, me and Sarah - note the slightly different order from the previous picture - no significance in it but otherwise there's little to choose between the two photos other than about 6 hours and roughly as many Bacardi Breezers) taken in front of the unmissable sign that heralds the location of Pink Punters. With a sign this big, you can only make assumptions about the size of the sign-writer's membership…! |
